Penny Lacey had a background in teaching children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties before she came to the School of Education in 1991.

Teaching and administration responsibilities
She is programme supervisor for ‘Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (Severe, Profound and Complex)’ which is a distance education programme for anyone working with children or adults who are severely disabled and ‘Inclusion and Special Educational Needs’ which is a programme available in distance education and campus modes. She is also co-ordinator for ‘Practitioner Inquiry in Education’ which is a module for dissertation preparation available in distance education and campus modes.
