Research and Projects Interests

Research interests and publications relate to the history of schooling, educational policy and ‘race’ equality. Current work focuses on new ways of conceptualising and presenting the educational past through consideration of issues relating to space, design, technology, the visual in education, artefacts and identity formation.

Teaching Interests

Supervising PHD and EDd students, contributing to Continuing Professional Development programmes (MEd/MA); teaching on the PGCE Secondary (History/History and Citizenship) programmes and Undergraduate History and Education programmes.
