Profile

Sarah is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Research in Medical and Dental Education, where she has worked since October 2000.  She has worked on a range of research projects in the field of postgraduate medical education, and in 2008 she completed a PhD exploring doctors’ views of the doctor-patient relationship.  She is currently working mainly with the NHS National Genetics Education and Development Centre (www.geneticseducation.nhs.uk).  Work with this Centre has included a study of the experiences and preferences of people receiving genetic information from healthcare professionals and the development of a curriculum statement on “Genetics in Primary Care” which has been incorporated into the national curriculum for General Practice training.

Sarah is lead administrative tutor for the PGCert in Education for Health Professionals, and also contributes to the PGDip in Education for Health Professionals.
