Research and Projects Interests
My current research activity is in the continuing education of dentists and medics and the impact this has on their practice and ultimately on patient care. I am also interested in how postgraduate training is assessed, including the use of competence based approaches. More broadly, I am concerned with the development and use of best evidence in medical education. These are current interests. In the past a significant amount of my research activity has been in the field of educational management, including the use of resources in school. In addition, I have been involved in studies of health education and promotion. I am experienced in a range of approaches to data gathering including large-scale surveys, case studies and interviews.
