Epilepsy Action Research

A team from the University of Birmingham has funding from Epilepsy Action for a one year project to look into the understanding of epilepsy by children with, or without, epilepsy. We are doing this in two ways. First, through an e survey to children and young people with epilepsy (survey now closed) and second, through matched case studies of children and young people ages 7-17 who do, or do not, have epilepsy.

One of the aims of this work is to produce guidelines for schools to help them explain epilepsy to other children and so help the inclusion of all children and young people with epilepsy. We plan to report on this work in summer 2007.
