Taught History for ten years in a Dudley Secondary School (1994-2004). Positions held Second in Humanities, Deputy Head of Year, Head of History

Currently Lecturer in History in Education (2004-). Responsible for co-running the History and the History & Citizenship courses.

Research interests. The education of the young in care during the twentieth century. The use of WebCt as a communication tool with PGCE students.
