Student scholarships (ORSAS): Overseas Research Students Awards Scheme

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

As Government funding priorities for HEFCE have recently changed, it will not be possible to fund new ORS awards in England for the 2009/10 academic year and beyond. This decision is supported by findings from the 2008 review of the scheme which will be published on the HEFCE web-site at the end of September.

Funding for ORSAS will be phased out gradually over 2009-10 and 2010-11. This means that all students currently holding ORS awards will be fully funded for the three years of the PhD programme.
