Programme content

The programme is based on the TTA National Standards for SENCOs and includes:

• managing the SEN Code of Practice;
• formulating, implementing and reviewing IEPs;
• advising colleagues on helping pupils with special needs gain access to the curriculum;
• contributing to the promotion of whole-school policies for inclusive education.

Award

The programme leads to the award of Postgraduate Certificate and is delivered in partnership with local education authorities.

Fees for part-time programmes of study for students commencing in 2008-09. Fees for subsequent years of study are likely to increase. An additional cost may be incurred for transferring between levels of study. These are indicative fees, to be confirmed. Students should confirm their fees upon being offered a place.
