Programme aims

This flexible programme is designed to build on students' experience of IT by further developing students' knowledge of, and capability in, IT and education.

Programme content

The programme will build on students' experiences by allowing them to choose from a range of modules including:

• Management of IT in Education
• The Use of IT to Support Teaching and Learning
• The Use of IT to Support Educational Administration

Students will have the opportunity to take part in research regarding the use of IT and education; or validate prior and experiential learning in IT in education. To specialise in IT and Education students must choose three IT modules as part of their programme of study, and for the MEd complete a dissertation concerned with some aspect of IT and education.

Note: In the above the term Information Technology (IT) is assumed to be synonymous with Information Communications Technology (ICT).

Fees*

1st Year

** Full-time: one semester

Fees for full-time and part-time programmes of study for students commencing in 2008-09. Fees for subsequent years of study are likely to increase. An additional cost may be incurred for transferring between levels of study. These are indicative fees, to be confirmed. Students should confirm their fees upon being offered a place.

2nd Year
