- Support available to students includes:
- Pre-admission advice, visits and information booklets
- Consultations with the Learning Support Team, Disability Team, Assistive Technology Officer or Mental Health Adviser
- Help to apply for a needs assessment and funding such as the Disabled Students' Allowance
- Dyslexia screening and tuition to assist with dyslexia
- Student support workers eg, notetakers and library helpers
- Loans of equipment including dictaphones, wheelchairs, laptop computers, a reading edge scanner, and CCTV
- Liaison with your tutors to help arrange accessible programme materials
- An email distribution list to keep you in touch
- Extended library loans or book fetching service
- Liaison with other University departments such as Housing, Estates, and outside agencies such as Social Services and Autism West Midlands
- An innovative project providing mentoring for students with
- Asperger’s Syndrome
